File Explorer and Filing Tips
Using the Global Search Bar:
The search bar is a powerful tool for quickly finding files and applications.
On a PC, it’s located in the bottom-left corner. On a Mac, you’ll find it in the upper-right corner (called Spotlight).
Type in keywords like "PDF" or the name of a file you remember, and it will pull up matching results.

Organizing Files with File Explorer:
Use File Explorer (PC) or Finder (Mac) to manage your files.
To reduce clutter, avoid storing too many files on your desktop. Instead, create folders inside Documents or Downloads for better organization.
Tip: Use a consistent naming convention for your files so they are easier to search later.
Pinning Frequently Used Apps:
Pin frequently used applications like Word or Excel to your taskbar for quick access.
On a PC, right-click the application and choose “Pin to Taskbar.”

Zoom Reactions and Toolbar Navigation:
To find the reactions toolbar in Zoom, hover your mouse over the bottom of the meeting window and click the Reactions button (it has a heart icon).
This allows you to use features like clapping, thumbs up, and more.
Tip: Using reactions can help keep the class engaging, especially when you want to participate silently.
Zoom Chat:
You can access the chat by clicking the Chat button in the toolbar at the bottom of the Zoom window.
If you're struggling to see the chat, press Ctrl + Plus (or Cmd + Plus on Mac) to zoom in and make the chat text larger.
Zoom Full Screen and Minimization:
If Zoom is in full screen and you want to exit:
Press the
Escape
key on your keyboard, or hover your mouse at the top of the screen and click the "Exit Full Screen" option.
To minimize Zoom, click the minimize icon (usually a dash symbol “_”) in the top-right corner of the Zoom window on a PC, or the yellow circle on a Mac.
